Tia is a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant with over 15 years of experience, practicing in a variety of settings and treating a broad range of conditions. Her journey into wellness took a transformative turn when she discovered yoga. Initially drawn to yoga for its physical benefits, she quickly realized it offered far more than just a workout. During her Yoga Teacher Training program, Tia experienced firsthand how yoga could improve not only her flexibility and strength but also her mental clarity and emotional resilience. It became a powerful tool for managing stress, releasing emotional tension, and fostering a deeper connection to herself.
Through consistent practice, Tia discovered that yoga is a holistic approach to health, integrating the body, mind, and spirit. This shift in perspective inspired her to pursue yoga as a path to wellness, both for herself and others. She is now an ERYT200 Yoga Instructor, specializing in helping students optimize their movement, strength, and posture. Tia’s deep understanding of anatomy and body mechanics allows her to combine therapeutic techniques with yoga principles, guiding individuals to heal, prevent injury, and cultivate lasting balance in their bodies and minds.
In addition to her yoga training, Tia is a Certified Practitioner of Sound and Vibrational Therapies and a Reiki Master. These additional modalities allow her to offer a more comprehensive approach to healing, addressing physical, emotional, and energetic aspects of well-being.
Whether in a clinical setting, a yoga studio, or through one-on-one sessions, Tia is dedicated to empowering others to live healthier, more balanced lives. Her mission is to inspire individuals to embrace yoga and other holistic practices as tools for cultivating optimal health, wellness, and inner peace.

Sound and vibrational therapy blends holistic healing with scientific principles, using specific frequencies to influence the body’s energy system and promote overall well-being. Instruments like tuning forks, Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, and gongs emit sound waves that interact with the body’s natural vibrations, helping to restore balance. Holistically, this therapy works to align the mind, body, and spirit, encouraging states of relaxation, deep meditation, and focus.
From a scientific perspective, research shows that sound frequencies can improve circulation, aid tissue repair, and lower cortisol (the stress hormone). They also activate the parasympathetic nervous system to promote relaxation and may even support DNA repair, particularly with frequencies like 528 Hz. It’s also believed to support the body’s natural healing processes and foster spiritual growth. While scientific understanding of Reiki is still evolving, research suggests it can influence the autonomic nervous system, reduce pain and anxiety, and enhance well-being.
